MY STORY

(How a wrong career selection squandered my time)

My Story – How I  Struggled and Found a System That Works

I still remember the day I passed my 12th class examination. My family was filled with concerns about my future, and relatives started suggesting different career options. But deep down, I had no clarity—I didn’t know what I wanted to do, what to choose, or what to avoid.

One of my relatives suggested that I pursue Agriculture as a vocation, assuring me that it would lead to a good job. Trusting their advice, I joined a newly opened agricultural college in Jammu. However, after investing three precious years, we discovered that the college lacked state recognition and affiliation. The futures of 500 students, including mine, were suddenly uncertain. We had nothing in our hands.

The Lowest Point: Feeling Like a Failure

When I returned home, I felt like a complete failure. It seemed as if my career was over before it had even started. The weight of wasted years and shattered dreams was overwhelming.

But in my darkest moment, my mother became my guiding light. She encouraged me to restart my education. So, I enrolled in my hometown degree college, but now, I was surrounded by classmates three years younger than me. The feeling of humiliation and discouragement was unbearable at times.

Still, I persisted. I completed my graduation with first division, followed by a B.Ed. and post-graduation. It was a long and challenging journey, but I never gave up. By the grace of Almighty, I eventually got selected as a teacher—a role I have proudly served in for the last 13 years.

The Turning Point: Discovering a System for Career Success

Looking back, I realized that my struggle wasn’t just bad luck. I had followed an unstructured, advice-based approach to career selection—something most students still do today.

This realization led me to develop a structured system that could prevent others from making the same mistakes I did. That’s when I became a Career Counselor & Career Coach.

Now, I follow and teach a systematic approach to career clarity:
